Kata
A kata is a prearranged form performed with a partner to teach the principle behind a technique. The 11 kata here carry 74 recordings between them, most of them the Kodokan's own, and appear in both kyu and dan grading pathways.
What this reference does not carry is the techniques of each form and the order they are performed in: it has no source for them it can name, and a form performed in the wrong order fails a grading.
