What a grading examination actually asks for, with every named technique linked to its page. Find your grade below, then work through the form section by section. Where a page here disagrees with the form in front of you, the form wins.
The syllabus a grade sets is a separate thing from the paper it is examined by. For the techniques required at each grade, see the grades section. Every paper here examines terminology, and the words it asks for are defined in the glossary. Gradings ask for a kata well before black belt, and those have their own section.
Every current paper here has a flashcard deck of the techniques it names, for drilling them before the day. Each paper's own page offers its deck too.
