A knee wheel needs your partner to be on one leg with the other extended as a block. Stepping past the block and reaping the inside of their supporting leg takes it away.

Step by step

The whole sequence in words. Described in the standard right-handed form.

  1. Feel the sole of their foot arrive against the outside of your knee.
  2. Stay upright, keep both grips and do not let them turn your shoulders.
  3. Step your blocked leg forward past the block rather than pulling back from it.
  4. Their weight is now entirely on their own supporting leg: drive their chest backwards with your lapel hand.
  5. Reap the inside of that supporting leg backwards with your own leg.
  6. They fall straight back; keep the sleeve and follow them down.
