Step by step
The whole sequence in words. Described in the standard right-handed form.
- Take the standard grip, slide your right arm around their waist and turn them around your hip with Uki-goshi.
- Keep their right sleeve as they land beside you.
- Drop your hips to the mat at their right side, facing their head.
- Pass your right arm under their right armpit rather than around the neck, and grip the mat or their far shoulder.
- Trap their right arm under your left armpit and spread your legs wide, one forward, one back.
- Settle your chest across theirs, keep your head up, and release the moment they tap.
