Minimal Time in Grade: Time in grade as Yodan 3. Non-Competitor – 10 years 4. Competitor, 5 pts. – 6.5 years 5. Competitor, 10 pts. – 5 years 6. Competitor, 15 pts. – 4 years 7. Batsugun or 20 pts. – 3 years Minimum time in grade by competitor class ----------------------------------------- 1. Class A: 3 years 2. Class B: 5 years 3. Class C: 6 years 4. Class D: Points earned General requirements -------------------- 1. Terminology required for lower ranks, increased proficiency in all lower rank requirements, Good understanding of and skill teaching certification 2.
